Carrie Underwood (Wikipedia): Carrie Marie Underwood (born March 10, 1983) is an American country singer-songwriter and actress who rose to fame as the winner of the fourth season of American Idol, in 2005. Underwood has since become a multi-platinum selling recording artist, a winner of several Grammy Awards, Billboard Music Awards and American Music Awards, a Golden Globe Award nominee, a three-time Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association Female Vocalist winner, and a two-time ACM Entertainer of the Year. She is the first-ever female artist to win back-to-back Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards for Entertainer of the Year (2009/10). Underwood was inducted into and became a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 2008. She was also inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame in 2009.

Play On is the third studio album from American country singer Carrie Underwood. It was released in the United States on November 3, 2009.
The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 with first week sales of 318,000 copies; and rated as the highest first week sales for a female artist in 2009, before being overtaken by Susan Boyle a few weeks later.[1] It is her second album to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200, and her third to debut atop the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. Play On charted at #19 on Billboard's year-end chart.[2]
As of August 2011, the album has sold 2,031,000 copies in the United States,[3] making it Underwood's third album to top the two million mark, and has been certified 2x Platinum by the RIAA and Platinum by the CRIA. It has sold 2.2 million copies worldwide.[4]
The album has spawned three consecutive #1 singles. The first single, "Cowboy Casanova", was released to country radio on September 14, 2009,[5] and was certified Platinum by the RIAA.[6] The second single, "Temporary Home", was released to country radio on December 14, 2009,[7] and has been certified Gold.[6] The third single, "Undo It", was released to radio on May 24, 2010,[8] and has been certified Platinum.[6] The fourth single, "Mama's Song", was officially released to radio on September 13, 2010
